Shipping policy
Shipping Policy
Effective Date: August 23, 2026
1. Overview
NorthPeak Refrigeration, a division of Vesso Ventures LLC ("NorthPeak," "we," "us," or "our"), ships commercial refrigeration equipment nationwide. Because our products are large and heavy, most orders ship by LTL (less-than-truckload) freight rather than standard parcel carriers. This policy explains how freight shipping, delivery, and inspection work.
Shipping details — including cost, carrier, transit time, and delivery options — are confirmed as part of your quote before your order is placed.
2. Shipping Destinations
We ship to business and commercial addresses throughout the contiguous United States (48 states). Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or remote/limited-access locations may be available by special freight quote and can carry longer transit times and higher costs. We do not currently ship internationally.
3. Shipping Costs
Freight cost depends on the equipment, weight and dimensions, destination, and the delivery options you choose. Your freight cost is quoted and confirmed before order placement — there are no hidden shipping fees added after you approve a quote. Certain accessorial services (see Section 6) may add to the cost if requested or required at your location.
4. Order Processing and Lead Times
Our equipment is fulfilled through manufacturers and distribution partners (drop-ship), so lead times vary by brand, model, and stock availability:
-
In-stock items ship according to the estimated processing time stated in your quote or order confirmation.
-
Configured, special-order, or built-to-order equipment (for example, walk-in coolers and freezers) is manufactured to your specification and has a longer lead time, which we confirm with your quote.
We will provide an estimated ship date and transit time with your order. Estimates are not guarantees; weather, carrier capacity, and manufacturer production schedules can affect timing.
5. Transit Time
LTL freight transit time depends on the origin, destination, carrier, and service level. An estimate will be provided with your quote or order confirmation. Longer distances and remote destinations may require additional time. Tracking information is provided when available after the shipment leaves its origin.
6. Freight Delivery Options (Accessorials)
Standard freight delivery is curbside, meaning the carrier brings the shipment to the back of the truck at your location. The following additional services may be available and are quoted separately:
-
Liftgate service — for locations without a loading dock or forklift, to lower the shipment to ground level.
-
Inside delivery — moving the shipment inside the entrance or threshold (availability and limits vary by carrier).
-
Delivery appointment / call-ahead — scheduling a delivery window.
-
Limited-access or residential delivery — for schools, some healthcare sites, and similar locations.
Please tell us your site's requirements when requesting a quote so the correct services are included. Additional accessorial charges requested at the time of delivery may be billed to you.
7. Receiving and Inspecting Your Shipment
Inspection at delivery is critical for freight shipments. When your equipment arrives:
-
Inspect the packaging, crating, and unit before signing.
-
If you see any damage, dents, crushing, or shortage, note it in detail on the carrier's delivery receipt / bill of lading before signing, and take photos.
-
If the shipment is severely damaged, you may refuse delivery and contact us immediately.
-
Report any concealed damage or defect within 48 hours of delivery.
Signing a clean delivery receipt indicates you received the shipment in good condition and may limit the ability to recover for freight damage. See our Return and Refund Policy for how damage, defects, and shortages are handled.
8. Incorrect or Incomplete Address
Please make sure your shipping address, contact name, and phone number are accurate. Freight redelivery, reconsignment, or storage charges caused by an incorrect address or an unavailable receiver may be billed to the customer.
9. Title and Risk of Loss
Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier, consistent with our Terms of Service. This is why prompt inspection and proper notation of any damage at delivery are important.
